The unsung heroes

In June 2017, myself and the good people of Avani held an appreciation night for these ‘Unsung Heroes’. The photography from the project was auctioned and the proceeds went directly to support the continuation of their positive work.

Guests at the event were invited to join our movement and make their pledge to the commitment to putting a stop to plastic pollution.

Creating this body of work took me to five areas across Bali that as a tourist you would not normally witness. The project was documented and translated by videographer George Spiers. He supported the project every step of the way and without his input this would not have been possible.
